Technical Details

For cooking soups and stews, this heavy-duty Sitram stockpot is a kitchen workhorse. Simple in design, all elements contribute toward the durable function of this pot. The heavy 18/10 stainless steel is warp-proof, the copper-lined bottom gives even heat distribution and is guaranteed not to warp or separate, and sturdy, stay-cool handles are welded on to prevent food traps inside the pan. Whether it's simmering for hours with classic chicken stock, an elaborate minestrone soup, fiery chili, or lobster for six, this pot will provide a lifetime of consistent good cooking. The generous size of this pot is ideal for cooking for large groups or ample quantities to freeze. (Please note that the lid is sold separately.) --Sherry Smith

Sitram Catering 22.2 Quart Commercial Stainless Steel Stockpot Customer Review

I LOVE home made stock. However, I don't have time to make it in small batches. With this pot I can make enough to last two months... and I use a LOT of stock. I like this pot so much, I bought another! That way I can make all my chicken and veal stock in one day.

This is a LARGE pot. I would not recommend this if you don't have a gas range. If you do, AND you make stock, you NEED one of these. This is a very sturdy, heavy duty pot.

NOTE: I also like the lid. It has a small hole to let steam escape while your stock simmers. However, I wish they'd include it with the purchase of the pot. (Who needs a pot without a lid?)
